  • The Waffle Bar, a pop-up food stand, to open permanent location at Bookhouse Brewing
    • Stand, which has been frequently serving at Bookhouse Brewing, is run by chef George Gazdick
    • Grand opening will be March 21
    • Serves liege-style waffles
      • Sweet, savory, or gluten free/vegan
    • A special beer called Waffelbiere, which is brewed with maple syrup, will be on tap

Festivals/Events/Activities Preview:

  • Taco Fest: April 6th – 12th (various locations throughout the city)
    • First ever taco week
    • Hosted by Scene Magazine
    • Not many details finalized, but the plan is to have $2 taco specials throughout the city in various restaurants
    • Participants to be announced soon
  • Brite Winter 2020: Feb. 19 (Main Avenue Bridge, West Bank Flats)
    • 11th annual Brite Winter Fest
    • Main festival is outdoors, but bars such as Mulberry’s and McCarthy’s

      • VIP tickets are $45, and include
        • Private restroom trailer
        • Unlimited coffee and hot chocolate
        • Private heated tents and VIP sections near the stages
